Pride at 1921

Since the 1970s, Dupont Circle has been one of DC's “gayborhoods." Today, it is home to the Capital Pride block party and parade. Celebrate all month long at 1921, a Biergarten  with Pride beers, rainbow crafts, history from Rainbow History Project, music, and games. Use us as a landing place for pre- and post-parade festivities.

First Friday | Friday, June 7th 4-8pm

Poster Making & Crafts:

  • Before joining the weekend festivities, stop by to make posters 
  • And every 90s kid’s favorite: wearable rainbow scratch art (We’re talking tiaras, masks, and more!)

DC Pride Weekend | Friday, June 7th 4-8pm & Saturday, June 8th 12-8pm

Supporting our Community:

  • 10% of all sales will be donated to our community partner, Rainbow History Project, who collects, preserves and promotes LGBTQ+ history in Washington, D.C.

#StillWeVote Voter Registration Drive | Friday, June 28th 6-8pm

  • Register to vote with HeadCount as part of the #stillwevote campaign

All Month Long: 

History in the Garden:

  • Pick-up a Rainbow History Project neighborhood map and take a walking tour of Dupont or grab a seat in the biergarten and find history at your table.

Community PRIDE Art Wall

  • Pick-up a rainbow scratch art craft at the bar when you stop into 1921, hang it on the fridges as part of our Community PRIDE Art Wall

Pride on the Menu:

  • Stay tuned for local craft beverage menu over at @1921biergarten on Instagram! 

Music:

  • Our music selection is total request all month long, submit your favorite Queer anthems at @1921biergarten on Instagram and we’ll add it to the playlist. 

Play:

  • Grab “The Queer Agenda” card game at the bar and play with your friends in the biergarten!
